**DO NOT COPY, TRACE, STEAL, CLAIM AS YOUR OWN, UPLOAD ELSEWHERE ELSE WITHOUT PERMISSION BLAH BLAH BLAH**

That's what I thought during ME3 ending sequence.

The whole "choose your own death" thing seems so forced, like Bioware wanted to kill off Shepard without even trying to make it "epic".

Actually, my view on certain events is wrong. However, I was wrong because the ending itself is misleading.
When a company has to clarify the ending via forum posts, Twitter or addidional DLCs, it means that either players are retarded or that the ending is flawed.

Anyway, here's the list of things Bioware has explained on the Internet:

- mass relays did *not* go super-nova like in Arrival and did *not* destroy any systems
- it is possible to travel between systems even without mass relays, i.e. nobody's stuck in the Sol system
- the crew of the Normandy is *not* stuck on the planet

And Bioware wondered why the fans hated them for ME3's ending.

the EC made the endings a bit better in that it added more closure but not by much.

I go with Destroy every time.

I met someone who actually liked the ending once.
He is dead now...

You should have put a galactic plot twist dance, to represent this.

Evantually the extended cut and the destroy ending with maximum military force were satisfying, but what they should have changed was the entire idea of putting a galactic plot twist in the finale. That was pissing out of the pot.

You see a millions yo child AI conceiving and explaining all the undescribable disgusting evil you saw? Hostile Geth, All those members from all species controlled by Reapers and turned into monsters, indoctrination, the Illusive Man, the Collectors, the martian tripod looking Reapers, and behind all this there was some retarded philosopher dressed like a bed wetter? Please. And you are told that all this shit has just one meaning and only in the last 30 minutes? All the potential depth of the plot, of the Illusive Man, of all the characters, vaporized and given no importance.

So the first parts, where you don't know the meaning that will be revealed afterward, are stupid, and the last part, a plot twist with a mindfuck, is stupid too.

But what makes ME3 worthy are Jack and the shooter.

I sympathize...I know that Obsidian/Atari did NWN2, but I felt the same way with the OC...it's like they spent so much time emphasizing high fantasy, the great evil must be defeated, and yet in the first battle of Act I, your best friend Amie dies. Then your "squire" Shandra Jerro dies. And there's plenty of angst about Bishop unerringly sabotaging your keep, no matter what your influence with him at the time. Then the grand finale...you win, but everyone dies (sorta). High fantasy my a$$. MOTB rubs salt into the wound, keeping you in the dark until you discover Ammon Jerro, who is now a blasted robot and basically YOU tell HIM who lived and died, and you still don't know if Elanie survived, just that Casavir didn't. Then, after spending the whole game with Kaelyn the Dove, building influence with her, you have to turn on her. Oh, and Bish is dead. I mean, is this infuriating, immutable turn of events what sells games nowadays? No wonder gamers are turning to violence in RL. At least give us a chance, developers, for cryin' out loud...if we do what we're supposed to do to win, then stop punishing us for it
