I don't like how Shepard automatically hugs Liara as if they were old friends. Good thing in the LotSB DLC hugs are optional.

You can blame the unavoidable hug on Bioware absolutely loving Liara and shoving her down the throats of the ME fans, especially in ME3 by giving her more screentime than all of the squadmates put together (not counting missions where you can choose who goes with you)
I honestly want to like the character that is Liara T'Soni, but I cannot shake off the annoyance I felt whenever I see her in the game.
Ironically, despite the LOTSB dlc being something I would probably use as a way to fuel my theory that Bioware is pushing her as the "canon" romance, I think it was the best that the character ever got in terms of portrayal and writing.

I like Liara I don't mind the hug I just wish I could have hugged Garrus when you first see him, even Tali gets a hug, then again it's more of a comfort hug than a long time no see hug
