I openly admit it: this is just a plot device to summon Liara into the comic. Do you really think I'd have left her out of the story? :-) anyway, did you notice that both the Rachni Queen and the Thorian speak through asari hosts?

Lol i love how Liara just randomly comes in out of no where haha lol XD and i did find that odd about Asari and how the Rachni Queen Again controls an Asari and not any other race but i don't think much of it. Personally i'd rather have an Asari speaking on behalf of some alien creature rather than a big fat hippie guy (Independence Day)

Well, in Mass Effect 3, if you save the Rachni Queen, she speaks through about 5 dead Krogan. Needless to say, it's sort of... creepy.
