Bloodstained dogtags taken off of horribly-murdered agents of an extremist terrorist human-supremacist organization as a gift for the psycho-crazy biotic chick who was tortured and experimented on by said ass-hats?
I have to argue with you there. See, Miranda wasn't tortured by Cerberus her whole life and isn't an awesome-emotionally-unstablelly-crazy biotic like Jack is. I think this kind of gift is something only she'd adore! But yeah, I totally agree with you on part one of your comment!
...Well, I mean, Miranda obviously has a troubled past, I will not deny, but Miranda is a proper kind of woman, unlike Jack. Jack does whatever she wants, whenever she wants, which is why her character appeals to me. Miranda simply seems like a snob with her... attitude. Her way of showing defiance bothers me, so I don't think I'd ever romance her as a guy Shepard.
... I don't believe I've gotten that far in Mass Effect 3? Or did you mean the Collector ship in Mass Effect 2? ... Either way, yeah, you're probably right that it changed her. I still think Miranda would at least want the gift in the form of a ring, not a necklace. That's just how proper she is
Okey-dokey! Then yeah, I suppose that would be a life-changing experience, especially after some of your crew dies (which they will die most of the time, but I've never played where you saved most of the crew).
