In my FanFic (which isn't fully realized) we start out with Agrius, a playboy hanyou(half-demon), and we wind through his travels up to the start of Diablo II. Somewhere along the lines, he'll be meeting Gordred, a shrewd, cynical old necromancer with a nasty aptitude for curses and an equally vicious bumticker. During the Cairn Stones mission, Gordred will be struck down by a Dark Stalker, thereby causing Agrius to go totally apeshit and unleash his innate power to the fullest brink, glassing the area and all bodies save for Agrius and Gordred's corpse. Agrius begins to turn to stone and blacks out.

Our wierd protagonist wakes up in Adria's hovel (which somehow made it into the Rogue Encampment), with his head feeling funny and an ache in his bones. Adria comes in, begins rambling about his condition, until Agrius gets a very bad feeling. He rushes over to the mirror and discovers he is in Gordred's body... with a mullet. And there's the explanation for the character's appearance...
